Access and equity▾
CBD College does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, sex or religion. We support students with language, literacy or physical needs wherever those needs do not prevent completion of the course. Discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated. Questions: info@cbdcollege.edu.au.
Attendance▾
Students are expected to attend 100% of the face-to-face classroom days — unless the trainer confirms prior mastery of the content, or acceptable circumstances prevent attendance, in which case make-up arrangements can be made between the student and trainer.
Cancellation and refunds▾
If CBD College cancels a class: you receive a full refund or a transfer to a future program.
First Aid, CPR and Childcare First Aid: no refunds for non-attendance or late cancellations. You can change your date through the Student Portal “Switch” function — a fee applies, and is higher within 48 hours of a practical class.
Please note: if you move your booking to a later date, refund eligibility is permanently cancelled.
Credit transfers (CT)▾
Applications for credit transfer must be made before enrolment. Each case is assessed individually and CT is granted only for units that are identical or equivalent (with currency demonstrated). Because our assessments are integrated, a credit transfer rarely reduces the course fee.
Code of practice▾
We commit to prioritising health and safety; acting with honesty, integrity and responsibility; dealing fairly with clients and students; providing inclusive learning environments; employing qualified, culturally-sensitive trainers; and keeping education records secure.
Complaints and appeals▾
Formal complaints are submitted on the CBD College Complaints Form to info@cbdcollege.edu.au and acknowledged within 3 business days. Appeals are directed to the RTO CEO, Matthew Gee (matthew@cbdcollege.edu.au). Further recourse is available through ASQA at asqa.gov.au.
Computer literacy requirements▾
Students need to be computer-literate for the online pre-learning module completed before the face-to-face session.
Fees▾
Course fees are listed in the course information. Your course commences on enrolment, at which point you receive immediate access to the Student Portal and student support.
Language, literacy and numeracy (LLN)▾
Students need effective communication skills, the ability to produce documentation, basic technology competency and the capacity to take part in practical demonstrations and role plays.
Limitation of liability▾
If a course is cancelled or rescheduled by CBD College, all liability is limited to the amount for which the course was purchased. CBD College takes no responsibility for travel, accommodation or work-related losses — please consider travel insurance and review any third-party cancellation policies.
Outcomes and certification▾
Students receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment within 24 hours of completion, downloadable from the Student Portal.
Plagiarism, AI and cheating▾
Plagiarism is using the words or ideas of others and presenting them as your own. Misuse of AI text-generation tools (direct copying) is academic misconduct. Submissions are checked with plagiarism software, and breaches may incur fees or cancellation of enrolment.
Punctuality▾
Students must arrive before the class commences. Late arrivals may be refused entry where this would disrupt the class — entry is denied if you are more than 15 minutes late.
RTO guarantee▾
Once your enrolment commences, CBD College guarantees to complete the training and assessment, provided you remain in your cohort and meet the requirements. Medical postponements are covered where they fall within a reasonable timeframe, at the college's discretion.
Special needs▾
Students with learning difficulties, emotional or behavioural needs, or physical disabilities should contact info@cbdcollege.edu.au before the course commences so we can arrange reasonable adjustments.
Support services▾
Our trainers and assessors provide experienced support and reasonable adjustments, including additional meetings outside scheduled class times. Contact 1300 628 299 or info@cbdcollege.edu.au.
